Instructed jointly by Railtrack and Gazeley Properties we provided development consultancy advice and master planning on the redevelopment of this 42 acre site in central Norwich. The most significant redevelopment in Norwich for many years, the scheme transformed the former industrial site into a lively and colourful new quarter of the historic city.

A pre-sale of an 85,000 sq ft food store and petrol filling station was agreed to Morrisons, with 165,000 sq ft of non-food retail let to tenants including Boots, Next, Argos and Big W. We also provided joint agency advice on the leisure element of Riverside that included a new multiplex cinema, ten pin bowl, restaurants and bars overlooking the River Wensum. A new indoor swimming pool, leisure complex and 200 apartments completed the mixed use development.

We also advised on forward funding of the retail park and leisure development.
