Park Place, Croydon

The Whitgift Partnership appointed Graham Chase in 2005 to represent them as owners of the Whitgift Shopping centre in their objection to the proposals to develop “Park Place”, Croydon, promoted by Minerva. He considered the viability of the £1 billion scheme, including a shopping centre of nearly 1.1 million sq. ft on three floors. This was by reference to tenant demand, investment potential, market value, profit return and viability. Despite granting the Order the scheme proved to be unviable and did not proceed.
