Chase and Partners were instructed to negotiate compensation for the temporary acquisition by the acquiring authority, Network Rail, for the subject site, Water Lane Car Park in Leeds. The client lost the ability to let out 6 car parking spaces over 3.5 years which results in a loss of income. Counsel opinion was received during negotiations to support the claim. A calderbank offer was put forward to the acquiring authority in order to settle the claim which was accepted.
