John Shuttleworth BSc FRICS - Managing Partner

John is the Managing Partner and part of the company’s investment team, specialising in out-of-town retail property.

John graduated from Sheffield City Polytechnic with a degree in Urban Land Economics in 1987. He began his professional career, not at Manchester City Football Club as originally hoped, but with Clive Lewis & Partners and subsequently Colliers Erdman Lewis before founding Chase & Partners in 1995.

John has been involved with the out-of-town retail market for most of his professional career dealing with development, lettings, acquisitions, valuations and rent reviews. His current focus is investment acquisition and disposal drawing on his experience across these disciplines.

John lives in North London and is married with three teenage children. They are all competitive swimmers and never far from a swimming pool morning (very early), noon and night! John trains hard in a valiant but vain attempt to keep up with them all.
